David was your average San Francisco working man. "My boyfriend suggested we make some jack-off videos and load them on a website," David says. "Then I started getting reviewed by clients on DaddysReviews.com."
To say the reviews are positive is an understatement. They are filled with uninhibited, over-the-edge excitement, claiming David "capable of diverting entire armies" with his "sexual virtuosity and unparalleled erotic skills." Call it word of mouth-to-mouth, but David began to notice a change in his clientele. He was asked to travel all over the country to meet with clients who had fallen for his mischievous smile and bad boy blue eyes (among other girthier attributes) while viewing his work online. "I have gone from a unknown Craigslist escort to a guy who can’t keep his schedule straight from one month to the next," David says. "I think clients are less likely to play games with you if they know you’re serious about your work." "Requests for more videos started coming in more frequently than ever after the website went live," David says. "So I felt I had an obligation to keep making them." Oh thank you, basic law of supply and view-on-demand.
In comes X-Tube, or what David refers to as his "saving grace." His videos on the amateur porn site are so popular now (10 million views) that he was one of the first escorts to be asked to post videos directly on RENTMEN.com, the first escort website to incorporate video.
But David does not stop there. Besides X-Tube and RENTMEN, he is an active member on Manhunt.net, Adam4Adam.com, Rentboy.com, Gaydar.com and GayRomeo.com. Sites that allow him to link back to DAVID-SF.com. You see, he works under the "I scratch your back, you scratch... whatever you want" mentality.
"These sites are mostly a vehicle for exposure," David says. "I don’t get a chance to hook up much, but having my pictures out there and my name as a brand has really kept folks looking and inquiring and hiring. I get a lot of clients from all over the world so it’s hard to know where they saw me."
And is David just a tiny bit worried this exposure might get him in some legal trouble or stuck in an awkward family reunion? Not an inch. "Home has become a figure of speech. If my family were worried about me doing what makes me - and lots of other people - happy maybe they would have helped pay for my college."
