SAN FRANCISCO, CA - These days, impressing the gang, a special lady, or even yourself is a tough feat, especially within the bold cocktail culture of San Francisco. Be the first "in the know" of the secret Ron Abuelo cocktail available at the infamous Smuggler’s Cove: password required.

Smuggler’s Cove (650 Gough Street, San Francisco) offers a whole new approach to rum by featuring a vast array of traditional Caribbean drinks, classic libations of Prohibition-era Havana and famous exotic cocktails from legendary Tiki-bars.

Showcasing over 200 rums from around the world, including a selection of rare and vintage rums in "The Vault," Smuggler’s Cove knows rum, and knows it well. Teaming up with the authentic Panamanian rum Ron Abuelo - delicious dark-aged rums expertly crafted by the family owned distillery Varela Hermanos - Smuggler’s Cove offers the Isthmus Cooler libation, created by cocktail enthusiast and expert Wayne Curtis.

With one whisper of the password, Isthmus, you’ll be delighted with Collins glass mixed with Ron Abuelo 7 Year Rum, red vermouth, Velvet Falerunum accompanied by fresh lime juice and soda water for a refreshing zing. This special drink is not on the cocktail menu, so be sure not to forget the password.
