"Million Dollar Decorators" Returns to Bravo
Bravo brings design-filled nights when "Million Dollar Decorators" returns for season two on Tuesday, November 13th at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Los Angeles’ most exclusive and sought-after interior designers - Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Kathryn Ireland, Jeffrey Alan Marks and Mary McDonald are back. With big budgets, big personalities and big projects, the designers take on A-List celebrity clientele and a few encounter some very familiar faces that turn out to be their most difficult clients to date.
Named one of the world’s top 100 interior designers by Architectural Digest, Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a multi-award-winning Los Angeles based interior designer and is renowned for his broad range of styles and eclectic, sophisticated and inviting interiors.
His work has appeared in over 4000 publications worldwide and currently his projects are featured in 10 coffee table books including his first book, "Live, Love, & Decorate." Martyn’s A-List clientele include Sir Elton John and David Furnish, Cher, Aaron Sorkin, Tamara Mellon, Ellen Pompeo, Eva Mendes and Patti LaBelle among many others. He has also designed the Colony Palms Hotel, Jimmy Choo Stores worldwide and currently the Chateau Gutsch Hotel in Switzerland.
Martyn is featured permanently in Elle Décor’s A-List, top 25 tastemakers in the world and most recently the Luxe Interiors + Design Gold List 2012. In 2010, he was the recipient of the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award and in addition to his design services, has a collection of indoor and outdoor fabrics, wallpaper, candles, furniture and rugs.
Award winning Los Angeles-based designer Mary McDonald is consistently ranked as one of House Beautiful’s "Top 100 Designers," is a recipient of the Stars of Design Award and will be honored as one of the Top 25 by Veranda Magazine.
Mary’s gorgeous interiors have captivated the design community and are featured in major national publications including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and International Vogue among others. McDonald’s style combines old-world elegance with a modern sensibility resulting in a fearless iconic style. Her ability to combine bold patterns, Chinoiserie and classic influences has established her signature style.
From the refurbishment of Buster Keaton’s legendary villa to the overhaul of the Luxe Summit Hotel in Bel Air, McDonald’s projects captivate the press. Her first book, "Mary McDonald: Interiors- The Allure of Style" is currently in its fourth printing and is working on her second book due in 2014.
Her first fabric collection for F. Schumacher is due to launch early next year as well as an extensive rug line for Patterson Flynn and Martin. She continues to add new designs each season to her lighting collection while working on projects in New York, Utah, Florida and California.
